Make A Jamp

I have been attended to a discussion about APEX leap to 2012 today. APEX is an Accelerated Program for Excellence. Content includes introduction about USM BIG ( Bamboo Interest Group ), Seven APEX points, Polar Shift 2012, 3P (people, place, principle), The book, hard work have been done to achieve APEX leap and so on.

Our friend, Mahram have been delivered her talk about her change, experience and learn after every project. We also watched a short video named 'Awakening as one'.

Before coming, I have 1 question in my heart which is bamboo is seldom use as construction material in Malaysia, why? Is it involves high cost? high maintenance? can't last long? Are there difficulties to promote this industry?

During discussion time, after our lecturer answered for the first question. I got some rough idea. Our bamboo industry is not so popular in Malaysia. Why? One is it may because of the supply of bamboo. Bamboo grow in cluster. Difficult to harvest. Same goes to plantation. Other problems include we are lack of research. We only have little knowledge about bamboo.

There are other questions involve:
How many bamboos are available in Malaysia?
There are about 10 percent of plants are bamboos. Bamboo grow fast and found everywhere.
How can this bamboo project related to the APEX leap to 2012 program?
Since now we do anythings against the nature, we build highway, high rise building to destroy the balance of ecosystem, why don't we make change to back into the nature? The project also can contribute to the disaster 2012. We seen a step behind the other country since they started realize the coming 2012 and do preparation for it. Therefore, there are important for us to unite to make change by carry out this project.
If other than flood, like earthquake happen in 2012?
It is just a prediction. The survival kit also can serve for other use or modify to suit the disaster condition. We do something better than don't do anything. We try our best to save life in the disaster time.

and so on..........
